Job Description:

The Manager, Supply Chain FSQA & Nutrition Systems serves as the key technical and operational resource responsible for leading the digitization of FSQA and product master data systems, ensuring accurate, compliant, and accessible information across the supply chain. This role also owns nutritional data management of all proprietary recipes and menu items, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory agencies' menu labeling requirements and related regulations.

The position bridges FSQA, supply chain, culinary innovation, operations, and IT, driving the transformation toward a single source of truth for product specifications, ingredients, allergens, and nutritionals across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
Digital Transformation & Data Governance

  • Lead FSQA’s role in the implementation and continuous improvement of digital platforms for suppliers, product, and specification management.
  • Define system requirements, workflows, and data governance standards to ensure accuracy, version control, and cross-functional accessibility.
  • Collaborate with procurement, culinary, IT, operations, and supply chain teams to integrate FSQA data into enterprise systems.
  • Develop and maintain master data ownership processes for product quality, regulatory, traceability (FDA’s FSMA 204), and nutrition information.
  • Support supplier partner onboarding and training for digital compliance submissions.
    Nutrition & Menu Labeling Compliance
  • Own the collection, verification, and maintenance of nutrition, allergen, and ingredient data for all recipes and finished menu items.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including calorie disclosure, nutrient analysis, and standard recipe documentation.
  • Partner with culinary, operations, and marketing to validate claims and ensure labeling accuracy for promotional, seasonal, and limited time offers.
  • Manage third-party resources or software-based nutrition systems and validate outputs against supplier-provided data.
  • Partner with IT on menu nutrition reporting formats and system requirements.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on menu labeling, nutrient rounding, and ingredient statement requirements.

Supplier and Specification Management

  • Collaborate with suppliers and category managers to maintain up-to-date product specifications, COAs, and formulation changes.

  • Establish and enforce digital workflows for supplier approval, document control, and product change notifications.
  • Support product risk ranking, traceability (FSMA 204), and regulatory compliance initiatives within the supply chain.
    Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership
  • Act as the liaison between FSQA, operations, supply chain, culinary, marketing, operations, IT, and external partners for digital and nutrition projects.
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) and training related to FSQA digital tools.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs for data accuracy, record retention, and system usage.
  • Provide reporting and analytics on specification compliance, supplier participation, and data integrity metrics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Management, Nutrition, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in FSQA, regulatory compliance, or nutrition labeling within food manufacturing or restaurant/QSR industries.
  • Strong working knowledge of FDA labeling regulations, FSMA, and nutrient analysis with the ability and motivation to expand expertise to include comparable international regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with digital quality systems, PLM, or specification management software.
  • Exceptional project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong Excel and data management capabilities; experience with data visualization or analytics tools a plus.
